division provides facilities for the analysis
of building materials such as Cement, Sand, Mortar,
Plaster, Concrete, Bricks etc. Examination of
paint in hit and run cases, road accidents, identification
of wires in theft cases, fibres, clothes, ropes
involved in criminal cases is also undertaken.
This division has also developed the facilities
for voice comparison. |

This
division undertakes examination of various types
of questioned document problems in all forensic
aspects such as identification of handwriting,
typewriting, printed matter, seal and stamp impressions
etc. It also carries out the detection and decipherment
of erasures, alterations, over-writings, additions,
obliterations, determination of sequence of strokes,
age of documents etc. The documents examined are
in the form of Bank Draft, Receipt , Will, Affidavit,
Bail Bond, Lottery ticket, Anonymous/Ransom letter,
Answer sheets of different examinations, Suicide
note, Agreement, Passport, Currency note, skin
tattoo marks etc. |

The facilities for examination of
computer crime cases are being developed in this division.
This includes scientific collection, examination,
analysis and presentation of information held on or
retrieved from computer storage media.
In addition to the crime cases
from the Police Deptt. this division also undertakes
examination of questioned documents on request from
other departments like Judicial courts, District Consumer
Re-dressal Forum, Lottery Deptt. of Haryana, Finance
Deptt., Haryana Dairy Development Corporation, HUDA,
Haryana State Small Industries and Export Corporation
Limited, State Universities(MDU, CCSHAU etc.), Railways,
Excise and Taxation Deptt., Armed Forces, Co-operative
Societies, Nationalised Banks, Board of School Education,
Haryana, Health Services, Haryana, PWD (B & R),
Haryana etc.

for verifying the veracity of statements of suspects,
complainants and witnesses exist in this division.
All types of cases which require verification
of statements on the basis of polygraph are examined.
The facilities for Brain Mapping are being developed
in this division.
